Basic MT5 tools work without an Expert Advisor. For economic calendar refresh, mailbox-based commands, and certain API trade paths, install a licensed Locimens EA (Full or Light) from the marketplace.

Purchase or unlock the EA
Get the Locimens Full or Light EA from the marketplace (locimens.com/marketplace or in-app Agents → Marketplace).

Download and install
In Electron, use the marketplace download flow. The installer places files in your MT5 Experts folder or guides you through copy steps.

Attach EA to a chart
In MT5, drag the Locimens EA onto any chart. Enable Algo Trading in the toolbar.

Complete license handshake
Locimens detects the running EA and completes activation automatically. Check Data → Mailbox or EA status for “licensed”.
Mailbox path discovery
Once the EA is running, Locimens auto-discovers the mailbox folder path from the EA hello file. You do not need to hand-edit paths in most setups.
When you can skip the EA
Price quotes, many order tools, watcher alerts, and chart data work without the EA. Install it when you need calendar sync or mailbox/API trade features.
